Guests can enjoy the 18-hole course as well as the 9 hole course both designed by the golf legend Dave Thomas. The course offers golf enthusiasts, such as ex President Bill Clinton, an enjoyable challenge on its varied terrain – lowest point is at 78 metres above sea level and highest, at hole 15, is at 315 metres. There is a well appointed club house, Pro Shop, Golf Academy, Driving Range - with five hectares practice area and three par 3 holes for beginners plus a Putting Green. There are 22 lakes along the course joined by impressive waterfalls and white sand bunkers. The course travels between thousands of palm trees, cacti and hundreds of species of trees and different plants of lush subtropical vegetation. Visible from many holes are spectacular views of the Atlantic Ocean and the Island of Gomera, the course can be enjoyed all year round.
Hole 10, a par-5 at a height of 480 metres - a left dogleg - protected by the course boundaries on the right and by a series of lakes on the left with an impressive view of the Abama Gran Hotel, the Atlantic Ocean and the island of La Gomera, is without a doubt the “signature hole” of Abama.

Accommodation

Abama has been created so that its guests can experience unique sensations in exclusive and private surroundings. The classic colonial-style décor of the double room are large and equipped with a king-size Abama bed or with 2 single beds, built-in wardrobe with oak doors, equipped with hanging space, drawers and shoe rack. The bathroom has mirror doors, designer bath and separate shower, set off by a refined selection of upmarket complimentary products.
