Marrakech
A 1,000-year-old palm grove against the backdrop of the High Atlas Mountains is the setting of the fabulous rose-pink ramparts of the Imperial Ci ty of Marrakech. With so many contrasts the modern ci ty with palm lined boulevards whilst within the old ci ty walls a world of history comes alive. Its focal point is the Djemaa el Fna, which turns into a carnival of the weird and wonderful at dusk, full of music, acrobats, storytellers and snake charmers.
