The Royal Colombo Golf Club is the oldest Golf Club in Sri Lanka and the 2nd oldest Royal Golf Club outside the British Isles opened by British Governor Sir Joseph West Ridgeway 130 years ago.
After golf and lunch off for a Colombo City Tour and Shopping
The tour will take in the Old Parliament Building that houses the Presidential Secretariat of Sri Lanka. Then on to Colombo Museum founded by was Sir William Henry Gregory the British Governor of Ceylon (Sri Lanka) at the time. Next to Independence Square a national monument in Sri Lanka built in commemoration of the independence of Sri Lanka. On to Gangaramaya Temple with architecture demonstrating an eclectic mix of Sri Lankan, Thai, Indian, and Chinese architecture. Finally to Bandaranaike Memorial International Conference Hall a gift from the People's Republic of China in memory the, Prime Minister of Sri Lanka (Ceylon) from 1956 to 1959.
